A politically correct wish for the season

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral, celebration of the winter solstice holiday(tm), practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all and a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2006, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great, (not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country or is the only "AMERICA" in the western hemisphere), and without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith, choice of computer platform, or sexual orientation of the wishee.

By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms:

This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/himself or others, and is void where prohibited by law, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year, or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and warranty is limited to replacement of this wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher.

WMCC News

WMCC News offers a great way to poke fun at the crazy politics and people of Macon, GA. Although you have to be familiar with the various people that are being discussed to fully appreciate this blog, I still think most people would get a kick out of it. The satire and humor are great!

Torreya

Torreya State Park in the panhandle of Florida is the destination for this year's New Year's trip. Looks like we will be doing some hiking, and bicycling too.

I am hoping that my leg doesn't give me a lot of problems on the trip. I have been having a lot of numbness, causes by a pinched nerve. The official name is Meralgia Paresthetica.

I am doing the final prep work for Christmas today....wrapping the last presents and so forth. I have had 2 annoying things happen today....first, my floor furnace has been cutting off for some reason. All I have to do is go turn it off, then back on, and it starts back up....but I need to find out what is going on with it. I changed the batteries in the thermostat...maybe that will help. And the second thing is a call on my cell phone. It has rang 3 times today, but nobody is there. In fact, it often hangs up before I can answer it. There is no number shown on the cell phone, so I do not know who it is. It isn't showing it as a private number, instead it says unknown. Hope it stops before nightfall.

Attack of the Chickens!

The birds come running every time that they see me in the yard. I guess that I have spoiled them by feeding them too much by hand, so they think that I am just there to feed them. But I do enjoy watching them do their chickeny things.
