The spire above Mercer University here in town normally towers above
everything nearby; however at this upward angled shot, it appears short
and squat.
My friend Bonnie called to see if I wanted to meet her for some photography after work one day last week. I joined her with one of her photography workshop students. Here are a few of my pics.
Bonnie and I ventured down into Providence Canyon yesterday. It was a nice trip and we enjoyed the diversion. The weather was perfect! Not too hot, not too cool. My only complaint came later that night as my left knee complained about the day's hike. The last of the wild azaleas were still blooming...which was a surprise. The trees are just beginning to turn their fall colors, which match the shades of red, orange, and white in the canyon walls.
An HDR that I made at Carter's Lake, at the very end of the road and down the trail at Doll Mountain Recreation Area's campground. I combined 7 images to make this one, but I overworked it a bit and I think it shows.
