Have you ever thought about what it would have been like to live back before the Civil War? I spent part of the day on Saturday at Jarrell Plantation State Historic Site, where you can experience just such a thing. I snapped a few images that just put you into that frame of mind.

Jarrell's a great place to visit to see what life was like back in the olden days. And during their sheep to shawl event a couple of years ago I got a chance to try shearing a sheep :)
