LIZELLA - It could be a local cat burglar, but authorities are looking for the thief who nabbed 216 pounds of cat food.

Between 12:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Sunday, someone cut off the lock on Vernon Harris' tractor trailer and hauled off 72 3-pound bags of Whiskers cat food, according to an incident report from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

"They probably broke in to see what was in there and figured they'd steal whatever was in there," Harris said.

The tractor trailer, headed for a distribution center in Miami, was parked behind Frenchie's store at 6011 Bethel Church Road, the report stated.

More classes at JCCFS

The John C. Campbell Folk School of Brasstown, NC offers Arts and Crafts Classes, Courses, and Instruction and will be my destination for 2 weeks soon. I am taking a blacksmithing class this fall and a photography course in the spring. I really am looking forward to these. I will also be going up for their Fall Festival Oct 7th, which should be a lot of fun.
