PhotoHunt: Bridges

I am going to give one of these ongoing photo theme things a try online. I am going with .

This week's theme is Bridges. So here ia shot of the wooden bridge that separates Sapelo Island from Cabretta Island, a few miles off of the coast of Georgia. It was high tide, and the channel and marsh between them was full and the fishermen were trying to take advantage of it.

I usually go down there to stay a few times each year. Sapelo Island can only be reached by ferry, and offers miles of totally undeveloped beaches! I will be heading back down there for 3 or 4 nights in April and again in September.

Oh i love this. my mother always a hat like that when she fished.

And we fished every weekend when I was growing up.

This just looks so peaceful and it's so lovely.
